Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is optimized for transmission of voice through internet. It is referred to the actual transmission of voice. It is also known as Internet telephony. VoIP has the ability to make more than one telephone call using the same broadband connection telephone line. There are two types to VoIP gateways introduced in the market - Analog gateways and digital gateways. Analog units are used to connect the regular analog phone lines. And digital gateway is used to connect the one or more digital lines.
